I am an artist and director, working in the fields of Film, choreography and multi-channel-installation.
My work feels into possible futurities and modes of existing in forthcoming societal shifts into sub- and hypernature. Based on site-specific research and strong conceptual frameworks I create hyper-performances, video-installations and experimental narrative films.
FROM materiality of surrender:
“(…) I claim: If there is to be a future, it has to be non-binary, planetary and beyond capitalism. ”
“ (…) “All that is solid, melts into air” said Karl Marx in the late 1840s, characterising the nature of capitalism and its inherent urge for total transformation. Merged with patriarchy and colonialism these forces have developed into a system of total exploitation, causing a global shift of living conditions towards human extinction.
As sea levels rise and weather drastically changes one things is for sure: the planet will somehow survive and recover, but humanity as we know it will not. If we want to survive, we have to transform radically. The current anthropocentric capitalist civilization has to die and we have to become fungus, data, cyborgs or angels. Only in surrendering to this fact lies a possibility for survival.”
“ (…) anatomy is fiction – choose your character: sex, desire, gender. exhale – and breathe some life into this fantasy … ” → fluid desires
“ … enter: pleasure zone. Tell me I'm pretty, dive in, provide radical softness. [The boyband says] The revolution will be rejected – You know what this is about? This revolution is going to be about love. [You hear me saying] You are part of the past, I am part of the future. You get ready, I get dressed up to go nowhere in particular. Here I can begin to conceive new futurities based on the crumbling foundation of the limited experience of the heteronormative, contemplaining about the forms the sexed body can inhabit.”
